Some of you might say that animal print is ALWAYS in fashion. And you’d be right, animal print is a style classic. Most of you probably have an element of it in your wardrobe, be it a scarf, bag or shoe?
This season you’re going to see it EVERYWHERE! Love it or hate it, you can always add a touch of leopard, zebra or snakeskin to your wardrobe for an easy style update.
Here’s my favourite animal print pieces this season:
TOPS
Witchery Animal Print V neck Blouse $119.95
The neck and sleeve detail of this top makes it a perfect desk to dinner option, and is a nice subtle nod to animal print. You can wear as a V-neck or there’s a hook and eye if you prefer a higher neckline. Bigger busts would suit the open neckline, and if you’re not very fond of your upper arms, the soft sleeve is very flattering.
This is a great little work blouse, perfect for under a suit jacket or tucked into a classic black pencil skirt. Again, I like the subtlety of the print but it makes enough of a statement all the same.

A great little basic for your wardrobe. Team with a pair of jeans and sneakers for a casual look or incorporate into your work wardrobe for a touch of the trend.
Harlow Don’t Stop Me Now top $179
This wouldn’t be a post about animal print without mentioning Harlow! A great blouse worn over a leather look skinny jean and heels for a night on the town. This style is a part of Harlow’s limited edition series – with only 66 pieces manufactured!
SKIRTS
Sussan Animal Print skirt $99.95
I’m calling this one. It’s AMAZING! I was lucky enough to attend the Sussan AW collection launch and this skirt caught everyone’s eye. The colour, the print, the cut is fabulous. Skirts cut on the bias can be really tricky. I tried on the one from Witchery the week before, and the fit wasn’t great (its actually not even on the website anymore) This one however, they’ve nailed it. Run, don’t walk to try on this baby (also available in black)
Another lovely slip style skirt with a neutral base of soft khaki. The slip skirt works well with heels and a blouse tucked, or save for winter with knee high boots and an oversized knit.
DRESSES
Trenery Leopard Print Dress $199
A dress in a animal print is not for the faint hearted. Thats A LOT of animal print. But for those of you who love the trend, this is a lovely print from Trenery. The shirt dress nips in at the waist and the full skirt is a great style for those who prefer a bit of room in the hips. I can also see this one layered for winter with a jacket and boots.
Country Road Pleat Sleeve Midi-Dress $249
Like leopard, snakeskin is one of those prints that you might have in a shoe or belt, but perhaps its time to consider it in a dress? Chic and effortless, this dress has a beautiful blouson sleeve and cut with a flattering V-neck. The shirred waistline and pleat detailing down the sleeve give it a whimsical look.
Portmans Sarah Tie Neck Soft Dress $109.95
If you’re looking for something a bit younger or sexier, this little number from Portmans is a steal. With a neck tie that can be worn as a pussy-bow and a shorter hemline, it has a fun party vibe.
