OMG! Have you been to a national chain of cosmetics stores lately?!? If you are in school or have a low-paying job, it will be difficult to purchase foundation at one of the locations. Hell, I still there are still times when I cannot afford the latest and greatest foundation. So, instead I tried drugstore foundations. And there are times when I do find what I am looking for in a drugstore foundation. Here are some examples:
- Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation (dupe for Estée Lauder Double Wear): This drugstore foundation offers a matte finish and is known for its pore-blurring effects. It’s often compared to the high-end Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation;
- L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation (dupe for NARS Sheer Glow): If you’re looking for a radiant finish similar to NARS Sheer Glow, this L’Oréal option might work well for you;
- Revlon ColorStay Foundation (dupe for MAC Studio Fix Fluid): Both of these foundations offer long-lasting coverage with a matte finish, making Revlon ColorStay a popular dupe for the MAC Studio Fix Fluid;
- Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation (dupe for Smashbox Studio Skin): This foundation is often praised for its photo-friendly formula and is compared to Smashbox Studio Skin for its matte, pore-blurring effects;
- NYX Can’t Stop Won’t Stop Foundation (dupe for Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation): This NYX foundation is known for its extensive shade range and matte finish, similar to the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Foundation;
- CoverGirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation (dupe for Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation): The CoverGirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation is said to provide a similar matte, high-definition finish to the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation;
- Milani Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer (dupe for Too Faced Born This Way Foundation): The Milani foundation is often compared to Too Faced Born This Way for its buildable coverage and natural finish;
Remember that individual preferences can vary, so it’s important to consider your specific skin type, concerns, and desired finish when choosing a foundation. And here is a hint. At the major, national cosmetic stores, you are many times are allowed to try on the foundatoins. In drugstores, you don’t always have this luxury. The best thing is to pick the drugstore foundation you like, find a mirror in the store and hold the foundation to your jawline. Get the foundation which is the closest on to your skintone. It will help in the decision process and help the odds of you having to go back for your refund or exchange.
