We are still batlling Summer and soon we will be battling Fall and Winter. Time is going by fast. But the one thing remains throughout the year is dry skin. Dry skin on your legs, arms, back, front, hands and feet. And sure you can smather on Vaseline on your dry skin and call it a day, but I honestly like a rich and creamy body lotion. Something just as active as Vaseline. I did some research and went over the body lotions I had tried over the years, and this is what I came up with:
- CeraVe Moisturizing Cream: Known for its inclusion of ceramides and hyaluronic acid, this cream is often recommended by dermatologists for its hydrating and barrier-protecting properties.
- Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion: This lotion contains colloidal oatmeal and is often praised for its soothing and moisturizing effects, particularly for dry and sensitive skin.
- Nivea Nourishing Body Milk: Nivea’s body milk products are known for their rich, creamy texture and long-lasting hydration. This is one of my faves. It’s creamy and the scent is not overpowering.
- The Body Shop Body Butters: These body butters come in various scents and formulations, offering intense hydration and a luxurious feel on the skin.
- LUSH – Lush is animal and enviromental safe. I sometimes run to LUSH, when I have a bad case of dry skin. My two favorites are Charity Pot and Karma Kream. Karma Kream is gentle a hand and body cream which nourishes the skin. It is scented with patchouli, lemongrass and orange. Making your skin soft and scented all day long. Charity Pot is one I have used for awhile. This a cocoa butter base with scents of ylang ylang, and rosewood oils. Charity Pot will leave your skin perfumed and soft to the touch.
- Eucerin Advanced Repair Cream: This cream is designed to provide intense moisture and is often recommended for extremely dry skin or dehydrated skin.
- Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream: Inspired by their popular facial moisturizer, this gel-cream is formulated to deliver lightweight hydration and is suitable for various skin types.
- Kiehl’s Creme de Corps: This is a rich, nourishing body moisturizer that has gained a following for its luxurious feel and effectiveness.
- Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Lotion: For this Vaseline, I am speaking about the lotion and not the regular jar of Vaseline. It is known for its affordability and deep moisturizing properties. This lotion is often favored for its cocoa butter infusion.
- Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm: Aesop’s body balm is known for its refreshing citrus scent (awesome smell), and its ability to provide hydration without feeling heavy.
- La Roche-Posay Lipikar Body Lotion: This lotion is often recommended for sensitive and dry skin, as it aims to provide long-lasting moisture without causing irritation.
Remember that individual preferences and skin types can vary greatly, so what works for one person might not work as effectively for another. It’s a good idea to consider your own skin’s needs and sensitivities when choosing a body moisturizer.
