In the aftermath of their exciting debut album, Smoke & Mirrors, rock band GXTP has released their anticipated sophomore album, Reloaded.
The journey to the album’s release began with two singles: “My Devil at Home ft. Sueco” in June and “Couldn’t Keep the Faith ft. Faris Zahid” in September. This past August, the band released the music video for “My Devil at Home,” showcasing not only a dynamic storyline with a dark, cinematic narrative but also their musical prowess in the rock genre. As of mid-November of 2024, the music video for “My Devil At Home” has hit 1 million views on YouTube.
Reloaded features a mixture of genres, highlighted by the standout track, titled “Te’Kill’Ya,” which features the talents of Killer Mike and Santana. The track is a powerhouse song with snarling guitars and a tremendous rap feature, and it is also proof of the band’s innovative spirit that blends intense rhythms with clever lyricism.
Sasha Sirota, when speaking of the collaboration, has said: “Working alongside legends like Santana and Killer Mike is beyond a dream come true. This track exemplifies the daring and boundary-pushing essence of our musical journey.”
The album — which is in part infused with the band’s signature blends of irony and humor, evident in tracks such as “Te’Kil’Ya” — features collaborations from artists such as Sueco, Killer Mike, Santana, Faris Zahid, and David Bryan, who contribute their distinct styles to create a remarkable rock record. The first track, “A Dish Served Cold,” truly sets the tone for the album to follow. With its driving guitars and masterful vocals, this record gives a taste of the album to follow.
The band came together as a group during the peak weeks of COVID-19 in 2020, and they were inspired to create music by those harrowing times, which is reflected in their style. Comprised of members Jason Paul, Sasha Sirota, and Triple Sixx, GXTP is an abbreviation of “Guns and Toilet Paper,” which were two of the things that dominated the news waves during the pandemic. This social commentary on a devastating time in history in part fuels their music, just as it does their dark, grungy aesthetic, which is most prevalent in their social media pages and their promotional materials.
Following the release of their debut album Smoke & Mirrors, GXTP continues to work to redefine the rock music landscape with their album Reloaded, which features eleven tracks that will not only captivate but engage audiences across the world.
The tracklist includes:
- “A Dish Served Cold”
- “My Devil at Home ft. Sueco”
