Original cast members of the groundbreaking Broadway musical Hamilton are set to participate in a group of live-streamed fundraisers collectively titled, “#HAM4CHANGE.“ The purpose of the events are to raise money for groups fighting against systemic racism. The first #Ham4Change event starts tomorrow.

There has been a renewed interest in Hamilton ever since a film adaption of the hit musical dropped on Disney+ earlier this month. While the film adaptation premiered to universal acclaim, the cast was using their fame for good by planning these upcoming fundraisers. Fans can check out the livestream event today, which will feature original cast members like Renee Elise Goldsberry, Phillipa Soo, Jasmine Cephas Jones, Christopher Jackson, Jonathan Groff and more.
For those interested in donating even further to great causes, fans can even purchase VIP packages or fan experiences. The VIP packages include a limited one on one live video chat, a virtual meet and greet, and access to the live stream. HAM4CHANGE also offers digital fan experiences, such as a personal voicemail recording from Jonathan Groff in character as King George III.
How Your Donation Helps
Pricing ranges from around eleven dollars for a ticket to the livestream, to 75-100 dollars for the video chats (which includes access to the livestream,) and 500-1,000 dollars for the digital fan experiences. (Note: The digital fan experiences do NOT include admission to the live stream.)
All the proceeds go to great causes such as the African American Policy Forum, Dance 4 Hope, Color of Change, When We All Vote, and more. Fans can check out all the organizations that are participating and purchase tickets for the events at https://www.events.loopedlive.com/hamilton. The lineups for the fundraising events on August 9 and August 15th are TBA. Tickets for the August 9th event go on sale today, and tickets for the event on the 15th go on sale August 7th at 10am PT.
It’s a fun way to give back, and great to see the original cast of Hamilton participating in ways to help the community. The magic of musical theater is that it can make an effective change. Hopefully #HAM4CHANGE will hold more events in the future so fans can help give back to the community in a variety of ways.
