Leena AI, a New York-based HR Startup, has raised $30 million in Series B funding to expand its AI-powered human resources management platform.
The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from other investors like Greycroft and B Capital Group. This capital round brings the startup’s total funding to $40 million and will help Leena AI expand its innovative products to meet global demand. Partner at Bessemer Venture Anant Vidur Puri referred to the partnership by stating:

“We are thrilled to partner with Leena AI, a company that is moving enterprise HR toward a more consumer-like, conversational way of delivery and meets the ever-changing needs of the modern workforce. The company’s AI-led innovation enables enterprises to deliver great employee experiences across functional areas. We look forward to seeing Leena AI’s continued impact on enterprises and the employee experience.”
Founded in 2018, Leena AI supports businesses by providing them with a means to improve employee experience via its autonomous conversational AI platform. In particular, the platform will reduce the need for their HR staff to involve a variety of tasks such as answering policy-related questions, knowledge management, creating employee documentation, and managing employee tickets. Co-founder and CEO of Leena AI, Adit Jain elaborated on the startup’s mission by stating:
“We intend to be the ‘Siri for employees’ and help employees’ get faster resolutions to their requests. Legacy internal helpdesks are not user-friendly, are tough to deploy and lack intelligence. Leena AI Employee Experience Suite deeply understands enterprise HR support tickets to solve this very difficult problem at the world’s top enterprises. This investment will help us further elevate the enterprise employee experience through AI-powered conversations and insights.”
Some of the major companies currently using the Leena AI platform include Nestle, Puma, P&G, Coca-Cola, Lafarge Holcim, and Abbott. There are about 3 million employees across 60 countries using Leena AI. The revenue growth rate of this startup has reached a significant milestone at 300% tear-per-year.
With conversational AI becoming more relevant in the fields of customer service, it was only a matter of time until the technology would be applied to other departments. The use of platforms like the one provided by the HR startup are sure to reduce the workload for HR teams, allowing them to focus on issuers that actually need their undivided attention.
